A recent study conducted by Forrester Research showed that 72% of workers do not have and do not want desktop video conferencing. With all the benefits offered by this technology for businesses, 72% is a little concerning. From a business point of view of a web-based conferencing technology to increase remote collaboration and overall productivity while simultaneously reducing the cost of business travel, but their employees do not see the benefit in the same way.

Here are some typical problems of the workers expressed their reluctance to use video conferencing and arguments to make them think differently:

Not multitask - Video conferencing is a tool to supplement face-to-face meetings and reduce business travel. Workers dealing with not being able to multitask, while dealing with an online meeting etiquette forgetting the real meeting. That being said, many workers are hesitant to use it for fear of privacy. Worries about the meeting, participants are able to see their messy homes and offices, or even worse to be able to see confidential information that may be lying around the office seems to be a factor holding them back.   1. This is not the case for all the time.Some times these problem may occur but the major reason of using video conference is minimizing travel time and to get out of stress.
